Need help finding any information on Dr John E Taylor or Maria Eloisa Taylor who married Antonio E Salas.
1880 Census, Fernando, John E Taylor, doctor, b 1848, Kentucky, parents born France. Wife, Librada Rael (b 1846, Taos), son, William (b 1879) both born New Mexico. (the age could be 52 not 32)
1885 Dr Taylor listed along with Dr Kittridge & Dr Rice on Mortality Schedule for Taos.
1890 Vet Census has J. E. Taylor in same location. Enlisted 1861-Oct 1866, Assist Surgeon with 5th Iowa, Co D. I've searched the Iowa rosters and Army Medical records but have found nothing more.
14 Jan 1891, Dr Taylor, of Taos, testified for Juan Pacheo disablity claim, stating he was Dr for 30+ years and neighbor for 15 years. (supports the age discrepency on 1880 census).
Oct 1865 Dr J Taylor, acting assistant surgeon (meaning contractor not regular Army) awaiting trasport at Ft Seldon ... to Camp ?????y (hard to read). Could be John.
LDS has baptismal record for Malecia Marie Taylor (b 1886) and Maria Eloisa Taylor (b1884), Our Lady of Guadalupe, parents John Taylor and Librada Rael.
21 Oct 1901, Taos, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Calletano Weaver and Malecia Taylor marriage, states father John Taylor, deceased. Mother Librada Rael.
Family believe John Taylor was poisened.
Eloisa Taylor married Antonio Elias Salas, s/o Jose Desederio Salas (8 Apr 1847 - 6 Sep 1926) & Maria Manuela Medina (b 26 Jul 1851). Antonio b. 1879, Los Luceros & d. 15 Jan 1957, Des Moines, NM. Eloisa d. 8 Apr 1943, Des Moines, NM.
Children of Antonio & Eloisa Salas were Manuelita, Feliciana and Frank. Frank (Francisco) adopted, b 11 Feb 1918 & d 22 Mar 1955, Clayton. Feliciana, b 7 Jun 1914 & d 26 Jun 2010, Des Moines. Feliciana m. Frank P. Marquez.

First child of Ant(o) was Juan Salas, of Los Luceros, b/d 1904.
Earliest record I have is 1920 Census for Cuates, Union Cty, listing Antonio & Alisa Silas and 3 kids. 1930 Census places the family in Des Moines.
Been looking for this family many years ... any help finding John Taylor and/or marriage of Antonio and Eloisa would be greatly appreciated.
