Thank you so much for your reply. Since my posting, I have found out the following: Edith King was the daughter of Samuel Houston King who married Jacquelina Linea Biggs, daughter of David Biggs(Native American?). Moses Cass Benton was the son of James F. Benton and Narcissa White.
Moses Cass or "M. C." and Jacquelina had two sons, James Leroy and Samuel. James LeRoy married Mabel Domice Simmons in 1915 in Cochise Co. James F. Benton, b. 1816 in McMinn Co., TN.; d, in Fannin Co., TX. appears to be M. C.'s father. I believe these records to be mainly correct as most are census records found by a fellow researcher.
If you have the time, I still would like to know any history that you could find, as I don't know how he fits in my family tree, but he does!
