HI Sue....I live here in Santa Fe, and the library has quite an extensive collection on local history....and I can check around for you on micro-fiche and newspaper articles, which is included I believe in that particular time frame...maybe I can find something for you about Judge Benedict, and since he was an official with the then 'territory' ....mention of him is possible in the local info perhaps.......anyways, I'll have a look around in the next day off I have.....if you have any other info to help your query, let me know at my e'mail address: Rory_Mac@webtv.net..........any little bit helps!
