Thank you. Since I have posted this, I found out his name is Moses Cass Benton. He married Edith King from Santa Fe, daughter of Samuel Houston King and Jacquelina Linea Biggs, daugther of David Biggs. They had two sons, James LeRoy and Samuel. I believe Moses Cass Benton's father is one James F. Benton.
I was hoping there might be some biographical family data on Moses. I know he is related to my family, but I don't know how.
As to dates, I know he was there in the 1880s. I don't know the exact date. He shows up later in Cochise Co., AZ., as foreman of a copper mine.
