Walter Otis Crandall

I am looking for information for the first wife of Walter Otis Crandall of Flora Vista, San Juan County. The information I have is that Gladys Angeline Graham married Walter 8-14-1895 in Crawford County, Iowa. She is supposed to be the daughter of Samuel Benjamin Graham and Ellen Shumate. I cannot find any proof that she was their daughter. Gladys died 10-13-1913 in Flora Vista. Would there be an obituary in a local paper that might confirm who her parents were or a death certificate? I found the Crandall family on the 1910 census for Flora Vista and her name was Gladys E. not A. also her parents were listed as being born in New York and Iowa, the 1900 census for Flora Vista gives her parents born Ohio and Indiana. Samuel Benjamin Graham was born in Lee County Iowa and Ellen Shumate was born in Lee County Iowa. To make things even harder I cannot find any record of Samuel and Ellen Graham on any census after their marriage in 1871 in Lee county. The only clue I found was in his fathers estate inventory in 1880 stating Samuel lived in Oregon. He was not on the 1880 census for Oregon. Walter Crandall married a second time in the 1920's to a young woman named Sarah F. his father Abraham 81 was still living in 1930. Can anyone help me get proof to who Gladys Angeline Grahams parents were? At this point I do not think they were Samuel and Ellen. I would be most grateful for any help.
