Melba, My uncle (Bert Kirk, of Missouri), to my knowledge, is the last living person who knew Burt Lambert and Mabel Russell prior to their moving to Washington. Bert Kirk, now 94, recently moved into a convalescent center in Seymoor, MO after colliding his van with a semi-truck. Until a couple of months ago, he was living at, and operating, his ranch 7 miles west of Seymoor. His son, Jim Kirk, says he has some dimentia, but his old memories are still sharp and vivid. He'll know whether Mabel was born in AR or Cherokee Nation, I.T. I visited him at his home last October; we're hopeful he'll be up to coming to the Russell Reunion Oct 6-8. I don't know where you live but, if you should be able to get by to see him, you could get some really great, historical information about Burt and Mabel. If you'd like to talk to Jim Kirk (a most personable individual), I will forward his contact information and that of Bert, also. Leon
