Tanya, I appreciate your help very much. I did call the first Wimsatt phone number you gave me, and got an unintelligible response---probably an answering machine on the blink. I called the second and got a busy signal. I'll try again on both numbers at different times of day.
I'd appreciate also any numbers you have for those Ragans in other towns. The Ragans were a big family, and it wouldn't surprise me if they were related to the one I knew.
I'm writing my life story, and part of it concerns living in James Canyon, between Cloudcroft and Mayhill. The Wimsatts, Ragans and Calentines gave me some of my best memories as a young child on the farm. I'd like to get their points of view about life in James Canyon in the late 40's.
