I am trying to cover old notes and posts on Genforum as time will allow while caring for my 90 year old mother.

I am searching for the burial place of Dovie Sparks and mother Amelia Jones Sparks. Amelia is a step sister to Margaret Sanders. I have Dovie's brother's cemetery. Like many of you, Weed NM families are intertwined.

Our line is Margaret Sanders who married Tillmon Jones, then Alexander Wilkerson. The Sanders family was very large. I have been fortunate in learning info from other Sanders researchers as Margaret left Weed with Wilkerson, taking her Jones children with her. However Wilkerson left his marriage, at that time, and children in Weed. Margaret's siblings settled in Bisbee, Clifton, Globe and the Gila Valley when the drought and Texas fever hit. Most info was sparse as Wilkerson left Margaret alone, as he did his first wife in Weed, but with many more children. By the time my husband was old enough to ask questions she had already passed away. His Wilkerson g-uncles did not have very much info on Wilkerson as he left when they were very young.

Every thing goes back to Weed, NM and a couple of Indian Forts in Texas where everyone came from to Weed.

Any info you would be willing to share would be appreciated!
