Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
After looking on Ancestry.com again, I remember why I was so confused. The 1880 Census has John A. Hale being born in Ark. and his children as Elizabeth, Margret, George W., Malinda, & Millie. The 1900 Census has him being born in Tenn. & his children as Thomas D., Rettie A., James P., Martha J., Johnnie, Joseph, & Barnie F.
Are these two different John A. Hales? I've seen Family Trees and there are too many inconsistentcies for me to know which one to trust.
I did find the headstones that you spoke about. Thank you SO MUCH!! James Pecos Hale was my husband's great-grandfather. Ollie Tillman Hale (Jame's son) was my husband's grandfather.
