Based on the fact that he was a Dr.,born in MI,parents born in NY--consider the possibility that he was the son of Alonzo and Mary E. Green--if so, his MOTHER was also a Dr.as well as his younger sister,Mary Emily Green.
That supposition as found in family trees on rootsweb.com,which gives a son of the same age,name,with those parents.
