Anastacio Renteria, Las Cruces, NM, 1890s

My maternal grandfather was named Anastacio Renteria. He was born near Las Cruces, New Mexico sometime around 1895. I know very little about him and only met him a few times since my mother didn't get along with him. From a conversation that I had with him later in his life I know that he was an Indian. My mother has always told me Apache. I would like to find out anything that I could. He moved to Los Angeles, California and met and married my grandmother who was from Albuquerque, New Mexico.
