American Indians in the Family (Arthur and Effie Tiffin)
Hi,
I am from the Arthur and Effie(Hallum) Tiffin clan in Portalis, New Mexico. I can say that it will be difficult to find the American Indian in the family because of the culture of time. Might look in the goverment records on Indians of that time. Many Indians were taken from their family and put in schools and given English or Spanish names. Many times the child would not know their last name because it was lost in time.
Hope this pushes you in the direction you wish to go.
Ni
