The flume (aquaduct) that brought water over the Pecos river to the farmers in Loving area is still functioning and the water still flows through the canals that were built at that time. You might try Pecos Irrigation.com to look at the old records. These families were instrumental in the history of Carlsbad and the lower Pecos valley.
