Sicilian Families in New Mexico

Around 1900, several families from Sicily, Italy came to the Pecos River Valley to work on the irrigation project and settled in towns such as Loving, Florence and Carlsbad.

Some of the Sicilian surnames of this group are: Giovengo, Venturella, Grandi, Calvani and Pesco.

It would be interesting exchange information concerning these families.
