Marquez of New Mexico 1800's
Posted by: Tamara Schuyler (ID *****2741) Date: May 18, 2005 at 14:23:53

Desperately seeking help: The family I am looking for resided in Otero County, however I recently learned that Otero Co was created in 1899 from Dona Ana, Lincoln and Socorro

I am interested in anything pertaining to Baltazar & Josefa Marquez, especially their parents and before. The only info I have is what I have obtained from the census. According to the 1910 & 1920 Census, Baltazar's father is from NM & TX respectively, his mother is from NM. Josefa's father is from Mex and mother is from NM & Mex respectively.

Baltazar & Josefa had a total of 5 children:
Refugia "Sister Flores" (nun in Lincoln, NE)
Manuela "Nellie" (g-grandma)
Margarita "Auntie Tiny"
Joe
Zenaida

Thanks,
Tamara
