Hi James,

I was rechecking some info & I'm even more confused.
In church records - St Patrick's Catholic Church ,
Raton, Baptisms 1891, I found baptism records for:
Maclovia-1894, Matilde 1895, Rosario 1897
Celso Jesus-1900.Celso 1908,all in Raton,NM
all children of Celso C& Pablita Varras. Then,
Luis de Jesus Chavez, born 1896 Vermejo, parents Celso Chavez& Rufina Gonzalez. Did territorial lines change
for Colorado & NM? Could that be why they gave birth locations as Colorado?
I may have to go back to the film,copy the records
& see if I'm reading things correctly. I have a probable
date of death for Celso Chavez as 4/21/1925. Do you
know whether or not the birth parents are listed on
NM death certificates from 1925?
