Did you get an answer on this? I'm looking for a man who may have been active duty or a veteran of the Philippine War. He died in "New Mexico" in 1917 of TB of the throat.
He was buried at his home place, Fort Des Moines Cavalry Cemetery in Des Moines, IA.
Since the family was not terribly wealthy, I figure the army may have moved his body from NM to IA.
If you got any help, will you pass it on?
Shirley Maynard
Hampton, VA
