Buttzville, N.J., was part of Oxford Township, Warren County, from 1825, when Warren County was formed from part of Sussex County, to 1913, when White Township was formed from a large part of Oxford Township. The 1880 Census for Oxford Township, Warren County, New Jersey, would have included the Buttzville section of Oxford Township.
