In Reply to: Jacobus (James) and Elizabeth Davis, NJ in mid 1750s? by Richard Davis of 894

Due to Y-DNA study I am trying to find a paternal link to Davis family in Sussex County NJ that could connect to William Burnett born 1771. Family lore said he was supposedly a Burnett through his mother but grew up with uncle (or perhaps grandfather). His father was supposed to be "Harrington" so the Davis connection is quite interesting to say the least. There are Davis and Harrington on 1793 Sussex county tax lists.
