15th New Jersey Volunteer Infantry Regiment [15th NJVI ]

Looking to connect with anyone familiar with the history of this Civil War regiment from Hunterdon and Sussex Counties, NJ. Especially interested in this regiment's actions on May 12,1864 at the battle of Spotsylvania Courthouse Virginia. Reason: One of my anestors was a soldier in the 14th Ga. Infantry regiment (CSA obviously) who was killed in action that day during the fighting between these two units.I am hoping to learn more about the details of the fighting that day and happy to share info.

Reply here and/or directly to me via email at cacrowley@georgialaw.org.

Thanks,

Carl Crowley
