I believe you and I went through some of this before via private email.
There is no will that I have located to prove who Hugh, John, Joseph and Margaret Willson's father was. I can prove Ann as their mother but not the father.
Usual Willson son of Joseph Willson and Ruth Carpenter is my 1st cousins 5 times removed.
A Usual and Elizabeth Willson are found in the 1861 census in Norfolk, Ontario, Canada. I have my Usual born in 1810 in NJ and the one in the census is born in 1834 and also has Fanny Willson age 66 and Marilla age 12 living with them.
In The Loyalists in Ontario: The Sons and Daughters of the American Loyalists of Upper Canada. Lambertville, NJ page 84 it states Usual Willson of Charlotteville O.C. m Fanny Davis May 20th 1817.
In the 1851 New Brunswick, Canada census is a Usual Willson age 78 and living with him is Luany, Enlquick, Theodore, David and Enichia Willson (some of those names are hard to read so my best guess).
In William Yeagers Pioneers of Charlotteville Township: Muster Rolls List of Settlers Assessments 1798-1816, Norfolk Historical Society, 1977. Page 22 there is a Usual Willson living in Norfolk, Ontario.
Catherine Mills who married John Wilson Hunter (son of Andrew Hunter and Margaret Willson)is my 1st cousins 5 times removed.
