Jeff asked: Is this family related to John Drake b.~1835 who married Rachel Slater b.~1827?

Joe Slater responds: Through census data and marriage records, I have concluded that Harriet Drake was the daughter of Eliza Primrose by a previous marriage to an unknown Mr. Drake. Harriet married a William Vliet in Sussex Co. on Nov. 9, 1847. They had two daughters, Eliza and Sarah Alice. I doubt that there is any connection between John Drake/Rachel Slater and my Slaters. As far as I know we have no Rachel among our ancestors. Thanks for your reply, though.
