Mrs. Patricia Newcombe, 68, of Sparta died yesterday at home.
A Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Sparta, following the funeral from the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta.
Mrs. Newcombe was a technical editor with Picatinny Arsenal in Rockaway Township for 24 years before retiring in 1994.
She graduated from Jersey City Junior College.
Born in Jersey City, she lived in Sparta since 1973.
Surviving are her husband, George J.; three sons, George P., Jim and Christopher; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Nelson; a brother, William Funge; two sisters, Kathleen Funge and Sister Mary Funge of the Helpers of the Holy Soul, and eight grandchildren.
NEWCOMBE - Patricia, age 68, of Sparta, formerly of Jersey City, on Nov. 20, 1999, beloved wife of George J. Newcombe, devoted mother of George P., Jim and Christopher Newcombe and Mary Nelson, dear sister of William Kathleen and Sr. Mary Funge, also survived by eight grandchildren. The funeral will be Tuesday, Nov. 23, at 9:3 0a.m. from The GOBLE FUNER- AL HOME, 22 Main St., Sparta, with a Funeral Liturgy at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Church. Interment will follow in the Sparta Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, dona- tions to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated
