Hello.

Thank you for taking time to reply to my message.

As far as our having a connection with the Davis surname I am not sure until I talk to my father and discuss the information regarding the Davis name that you posted. But, I can tell you that I have an Uncle Daniel Davis who married a Gail Banta back in the 1960's I believe. Daniel Davis, from my father's side of the family (Stanaback/Davis/Lyons), was a product of Thomas Davis (my father's step-father and my Uncle Danny's father) and Marion (Lyons) Stanaback-(previous married name) Davis (my father's and my Uncle Danny's mother). Daniel Davis is therefore Robert T. Stanaback's half-brother. I am pretty sure that My Uncle, Daniel Davis, was born in Franklin, NJ, when - I don't know, and has lived there his whole life.

A little more background information on Marion (Lyons) Stanaback-Davis:
She waitressed in Franklin Diner for many years. Most of the regular patrons called her Sam. She was born in Montclair, NJ in March 1917 (I am not 100% sure of the year of her birth.). Her parents names were Oscar W. Lyons and Geneveive (Donelle or Donelly) Lyons.

A little more background information on Thomas Davis:
He worked at the Mt. Hope Mines in the mill. Thomas Davis was the son of Lester Davis and Cora Davis (I do not know her maiden name yet.)

As far as the Rude Family connection, it involves my father's grandfather, Fred Stanaback. I still have to do research on the connection with this surname; but the individual from the Rude family was named Mary.
