I am an Aikman descendant and know that John Morrow married ELizabeth Alexander, dtr of William Alexander and Janet Aikman.

Iam an Aikman descendant. In my files I have the following:

William Alexander was born c 1725 and married Janet Aikman on 3 December 1750 in Somerset Co., NJ. She was the dtr of John and Jean Aikman and came with them from Scotland around 1740. William died 2 April 1789 in Mendham, Morris Co., NJ. Janet died there in 1804.

I'm aware of only one child for this couple, Elizabeth Alexander. She married JOHN MORROW and they had at least one child, James.

The info I have is that James Morrow married an Ada, who was born in 1783 and died in Manhattan, NY on 4 July 1829. She's buried in the 1st Presbyterian Church graveyard in Morristown, NJ. Their children: Esther b 12 May 1807. Sarah b/c 1810. Lewis b 10 May 1812, Mary Jane b/c 1814, Daniel Smart b/c 1817, Eliza b 18 September 1818 and William Alexander b 16 July 1820.

The above William Alexander mrd Abigail Pettingail. He died 28 March 1874.

I'd like very much to learn more about the Morrow and Alexander families. Are there any descendants of this family who can give me more info??? Anything appreciated.
