Would appreciate any help in finding parents of Thomas COON or MacCoone born in Boundbrook, Somerset Co., N.J. abt 1700. Re a L.D.S. family file, Thomas married a Catharine & had the following children :
1. Moses Coon 2. Thomas Coon 3. John Coon 4. Mickal Coon
5. Benjamin Coon 6. Abraham Coon 7. Hannah Anne Coon & 8. Jean Coon.
This same record shows his death 25, Feb.,1761.
Thomas may be the grandfather of my 3rd great grandfather, Abraham or Abram COON born in Kingsbury, Washington Co., N.Y. in 1745 & married to Patience WELLS. This family moved with their family to Canada before 1800 & claimed to be of Scots heritage in future census returns.
Thank you in advance for any info which could help prove or disprove our connection to this Thomas COON family.
