I am looking for the parents of Bernardus Van Nest and his sisters Cattrina and Mary, born in Somerset County in the 1720's or 1730's. Their mother was Cattrina (--) Van Nest of Bridgewater, who married (after Van Nest's death) Cornelius Bogart. Cornelis Bogart left a will dated 1771 at Bedminster and she left one dated 1773 at Bridgewater.
The daughter Cattrina married Peter Van Neste (presumably a cousin) and Mary married a Gordon. I don't know what became of Bernardus.
It is possible that these people are covered in Fred Sisser's excellent multi-issue article on the Van Nests in his Somerset County Genealogical Quarterly, but it has been years since I have seen this periodical and copies cannot be obtained out here in Colorado!
Does anyone have this journal or know anything about this branch of the family?
