At Penns Neck, Johan Standley and Catharina Bilderback were married.

John and Catarina Standle's (Stanley), David, born November 28, 1723, baptized February 2nd. Godparents: Lars Strang, Lars Pawelson.

Both John and Oneciphorous Stanley can be found in the records if the Swedish Lutheran Churches at Raccoon and Penns Neck.

Is this the same John with son David found in Augusta Co VA deeds in 1751? By 1758 David Stanley/Standley with wife Hannah can be found in deed records of Anson Co NC. Also in the records of the area is John Stanley with wife Catharine. We believe this David Stanley was born between 1720-25.

David Stanley/Standley/Standlee has either a son or grandson, possibly by his son John Standlee, by the name of Oneciphorus Standlee that was born in Tryon Co NC circa 1768. Land records in the Anson/Tryon/Mecklenburg co NC certainly supports this Oneciphorous being born there.

Many of the early families of Augusta Co VA were from NJ and Pa, as well as many of the families that surround them in NC.

Can anyone tell me anything about this John Standley of Penns Neck, Salem Co NJ?
