This indenture made this twenty sixth day of June in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and nineteen between Robert Peterson of Upper Penns Neck ____ the county of Salem and State of New Jersey cordwiner and Elizabeth his wife of the one part and Clayton Locason of the same place County and State of aforesaid ____ of the other part whereas the said Robert Peterson being lawfully seized in situate a certain piece of land ______ in Penns Neck aforesaid near Sculltown adjourning lands of John JAQUETT and others and laying between the Pedricktown Road and the Penns Neck Road binding on both now this indenture witness forth that the ____ Robert Peterson and Elizabeth his wife for and in consideration of two hundred ____ good and lawful money to them in hand paid by the said Clayton LOCASON as before the __ sealing of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained and sold unto the said Clayton LOCASON all the above mentioned piece of land and is situate and bounded as followeth beginning at a stone in the Pedricktown Road a corner to Joseph HAMPTONS lot, John JURDENS from thence south thirty degrees east eight chains and eighty links to the other corner of Joseph HAMPTONS lot and corner to John JAQUETTs lot from thence north sixty one degrees west two chains forty eight links to the other corner of said John JAQUETTs lot __ south thirty degrees west eleven chain to the Penns Neck Road for thence to the corner of the said Clayton LOCASONs lot from thence north twenty eight and a half degrees west eight chains and fifteen links to the other corner of the said Clayton LOCASONs lot from thence north thirty degrees east binding on John JAQUETTs line to a white oak sapling marking on four sides from thence still on same course thirteen chains and forty six links to the middle of the Pedricktown Road thence south twenty two and a half degrees east bounding said Road twelve chains and thirty five links to the beginning corner supposed to contain twenty acres and a half be the same more or less together with all and singular the buildings and improvements ways woods water courses privileges members and appertencancy whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversions of remainders rents issues and profits thereof and any and all the estate right title interest and use possession property claim and demand whatsoever of him the said Robert Peterson and Elizabeth his wife. In law equity or otherwise howsoever of in and to the hereby granted piece of land as above described and every part thereof to have and to hold this said described piece of land herereditaments and premises hereby granted bargained sold or mentioned so to be with the Appertencancy unto the said Clayton LOCASON his heirs of assigns to and for the use and behalf of the said Clayton LOCASON his heirs and assigns forever except all the articles particularly mentioned hereafter all which the said Robert Peterson doeth reserve for himself or his __ the articles are namely those all the coards of timber all the brick bats and stones and ale the winter grain in or on said land and all the hickery and oaks and ale the wood grait and small and of all these articles before mentioned the said Robert Peterson shall take as much or as little as to him shall seem meet and the said Robert Peterson or his shall have six months time from the date of this indenture to take said articles off of said land without any interruptions by the said Clayton LOCASON or any of his and the said Robert Peterson for himself his heirs executors and administrators doth covenant promise and grant to and with the said Clayton LOCASON his heirs and assigns by these presents that the said Robert Peterson and his heirs the above described piece of land and premises hereby granted with the Appertencancy excepting the articles above mentioned and unto the said Clayton LOCASON his heirs and assigns against him the said Robert Peterson his heirs and assigns all and every other person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim any right or title thereto by from and under him them or any of them shall and will warrant and forever defend. In witness whereof the said Robert Peterson and Elizabeth his wife have hereunto set hands and seals the day and year first above written.

Received at the unsealing and delivery of these presents of the above named Clayton LOCASON the consideration money in full.
Salem County is be it remembered that on the twenty sixth day of June AD eighteen hundred and nineteen personally appeared before me the subscriber one of this commissioners for taking the acknowledgments of deeds in and for the county aforesaid Robert PETERSON and Elizabeth his wife the within named grantors and severally acknowledged that they signed sealed and as their act and deed delivered the within indenture for the use and purposes therein expressed and his and wife being by me privately examined separate and appart from her and husband acknowledged the executed the same voluntarily without any fear threat or compulsion by or from her and husband.
