Would be grateful for any info on the following families:
John L. Weaver was born
about 1870 in NJ (Passaic Co?). He married Ellen Unknown; she was born 1877
in Ireland and later marred Mr. Lynch. John Weaver was a butcher in Passaic
and the family may have been from Germany originally. Their son, John
"Butch" Lawrence Weaver, was born in 1894 in Passaic, Passaic Co, NJ. and
married Johanna "Anna Mae" Marie Gutches. Her parents were Theodore & Gertrude Goetschius from Holland.
William Aloysius McDevitt,
Sr whom born 1808 in NJ (Passaic Co?). He died about 1979. He married
(1st) Marcella Jane Tully and appears with her on the 1930 census for
Passaic, Passaic Co, NJ. Children: William McDevitt 1920 and Edward
McDevitt 1922. Census states his parents were from New York. He married
(2nd) Mae Unknwon. He was orphaned at young age, raised by Wm. and
Katherine Coughey ('coffee"), possibly his sister or aunt; active in VFW.
Thanks. Bob Foran - CT
