Johnstone/Johnson-Giberson: Toms River/Dover/Perth Amboy

Note: reade below for Johnstone/Johnson name change info.

I found today William Johnstone m Mary Giberson, 1853, Plumsted Vital Records. This is the same William P Johnson m Mary Ann Giberson. In the 1850 census for Jackson: Wm S Johnston, 59, Margaret, 53, Ezedkiel,21, William*, 20, Peter, 13, Elizabeth Smith, 13. (Other Smiths on census page but different households.) In 1860 census for Jackson (Davisville area), Wm S Johnson,70, Margaret, 65, Ezekiel, 33, Peter, 23. William P. would have been married to Mary Ann with a 3 year old son, Samuel. But, I can't find them anywhere! If anyone comes across any possibilities, please email me. Thanks.

According to notes found at the Monmouth County Historical Library: "Johnstone changed to Johnsons, ancestors buried in Toms River. John Johnstone arrived in Perth Amboy, Dec 1685."
