The Stout family in the MIddletown area goes back to Richard Stout b1584 in Nottinghamshire England who married Elizabeth Bee or Gee in Gravesend L.I. whose son John Stout was one of the first Patentees in Middletown N.J.
There is a Stout family Association that holds annual reunions.
