The Monmouth County Genealogy Society has just published a new reference tool which provides titles, summaries, and volume/page citations for 163 Monmouth County articles published in the first 75 years of The Genealogical Magazine of New Jersey. The book is titled "Monmouth County Articles in The Genealogical Magazine of New Jersey, 1925-2000, Summary & Descriptions." The descriptions are grouped in categories, as follows: census records, church records, court records, family and Bible records, genealogies, gravestones, marriage records, military, miscellaneous records and tax records. Included is a finding aid for the lengthy serialized article, "Records of the Dutch Congregations of Freehold and Middletown," which provides year-by-year volume/page citations for baptisms, marriages, church officers, communicants and members as published. This is followed by a subject, locality and name index to the article titles and descriptions. The 43 page book is spiral bound with plastic cover. Available from Monmouth County Genealogy Society, P. O. Box 5, Lincroft, NJ 07738-0005. Price: $10.00 plus $3.50 shipping for the first copy, $1.50 each for shipping each additional item.
