David, years ago I had the opportunity to visit the Monmouth Battleground, I guess it was the Historical Society, and I bought a book on the History of the old Tennent Church compiled by Rev. Frank R. Symmes. It is a wonderful source of info of the area, and the people buried there. My husband's ggrandfather, William A. Bastedo, drowned in the Marlboro Millpond, I think the date was in January 1861 so he was either ice skating or trying to rescue someone. He was a blacksmith in the area, maybe Englishtown, but I do not know where he was buried. His father was Thomas, and his grandfather William was a soldier in the revolution and is buried in the Kingston Presbyterian Church Cemetery. If you come across the Bastedo name in your efforts, will you please let me know? Thanks!!! Virginia Bastedo
