I have a William Thompson family in my genealogy that resided at Upper Freehold, Monmouth County, New Jersey in 1830. They had a daughter named Sarah that married a Samuel Webb. I do not have any specific information about their marriage. I do know that Sarah was born abt 1814 so I am guessing that they were married about 1832-1834. By the time of the 1850 Census Sarah Webb turns up at the home of her elderly uncle William Marlin (erroneously spelled Merlin) in Saltcreek Township of Franklin County, Indiana. I lost track of her from there. I do not know whether the Webbs moved to Indiana and Samuel died there or whether Samuel had died in New Jersey and Sarah had moved to Franklin County, Indiana where most of her siblings had relocated. I am supposing that Samuel was about the same age as Sarah which would have made him about 16 years old in 1830. If any of this sounds like it might lead to some solutions contact me at my e-mail address.
