Hello!

Is anyone familiar with the background of John Brown m. to Alice Coward in Monmouth Co. NJ in 1759? John was b. 1736, lived in Burlington Co. at the time of his marriage to Alice, and he is recognized by the DAR as a Lieutenant. He d. 1822 and is buried in Jacobstown Baptist Cemetery, Jacobstown, NJ (New Hanover Twp., Burl Co.) My question is, does anyone have a clue as to his parentage? Is he a possible son of John and Catherine Brown of New Hanover Twp., or is he of another Brown line? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks
G. Brown
