David MUDIE from Scotland to New Jersey - 1684-
Posted by: melissa1 (ID *****3873) Date: November 19, 2005 at 08:44:39

I am searching for descendants of the David MUDIE who came to New Jersey from Montrose, Angus, Scotland in Nov. 1684.
David was a merchant who may have had ties in New York city as well.
My father has recently been a participant in a Y DNA project and he had an Exact Match on all 25 markers to a man who claims his descendant came from NJ. (and not of the Loyalist Lt. James Moody family of Little Egg Harbor either).

My family however showed up in York Co., Maine so I am trying to find our Common Ancestor...however I believe it to be the David MUDIE of NJ.

If anyone can shed more light on this family, you can leave a message here or post something over at the MOODY page where I am most frequently.
Thank you for any info.
