Thank you for your help and suggestion. I will have to look into church records.....but I'm not sure where to start! You asked where/when he died. I found him in the census records in 1840 and 1850, married with children. He left Monmouth county and lived in Middlesex. Died in Rahway, Mar 7 1877. I got his death certificate from the state archives. No parents listed, but his birth is noted as "Freehold".
