Okay, the pension file will not state that, but what was his address? Have you looked for him on the 1880 census, his obit may also be in the local paper, Perth Amboy Public Library has city directories that go back to the turn of the 20th century and newspaper on microfilm for the area (they don't do look-ups). Also, what religous affiliation was he or wife. There are two old cemeteries in town, one belonging to St. Peter's Episcopal (was around before the Rev. War) and the other Alpine Cemetery, was a farm at one time, when they built the high school in town, the land was a cemetery and they re-interred the bodies to Alpine (it is non-denominational)
