Charles PAGE was born in NJ 1816 d. Omaha, Nebraska, June 11, 1893. A railroad engineer, he drove the first steam-powered locomotive in the U. S.--the John Bull now on display at the Smithsonian. When he was 1, Charles' family moved to Ohio. He did some "railroading," as he called it, in Indiana and spent the last 30 years of his life in Nebraska. Son Nathan James PAGE was born in Iroquoise, IL, November 7, 1844. Nathan fought in the Civil War on the Union side and was honorably discharged Sept. 19, 1864. Nathan's son Arthur James PAGE b. April 6, 1876, m. Mary Dona LITTLE from MS, and they had seven children, one of whom was my grandfather Early Andrew PAGE b. Jan. 1900 Fannin Co., TX. My grandfather m. Birdie Belle HOLT, dau. of William Martin HOLT of Hunt Co., TX, and Florence PIDCOCK of Scott Co., AR. Most in need of spouse names for Charles PAGE and Nathan PAGE; friendly e-mail from cousins researching this family would be nice. Thanks.
