Thomas Herbert born c1726, m. HANNAH WINTER on 21 Oct 1751 in Monmouth NJ. They had a son JOSIAH HERBERT born c1755 (wife unknown). Josiah had a daughter HANNAH HERBERT m. AARON SPALDING on 4 Jan 1805 in Campbell Co KY.

I have been watching the PBS series DOWNTON ABBEY and learned that the present owner is GEORGE REGINALD OLIVER MOLYNEUX HERBERT, the 8th Earl of Carnarvon (b. 1956).

The Earls of Carnarvon was created initially in 1628, with HENRY HERBERT (1741-1811) taking the title of the 1st Earl of Carnarvon.

Would like to find out if my THOMAS HERBERT is related somehow to this noble English family!! The parents of my Thomas Herbert were RICHARD HERBERT and BRIDGET COOKE, but I have no dates or locations for them.
