Thomas HIRES and Martha BRAUNER 1889 Landis, Cumberland, NJ
Posted by: Lynne Simpson (ID *****6113) Date: April 03, 2013 at 03:07:11

I am interested to know if anyone has any information about Martha Brawner who may have married Thomas HIRES, a widower, in Landis, Cumberland County, New Jersey about 1889.

I found two birth entries for male children with a father: Thomas HIRES and a mother: Martha BRAUNER for 1890 and 1892 respectively, in Landis, NJ. I am missing information for a Martha Brawner born in Dumfries, Prince William Co, VA in 1864 who was still alive in 1886 but has been untraceable after that.

My Martha had relatives in Gloucester Co, NJ and other close relatives had travelled from Dumfries to NJ about this time. Martha was an adult orphan, her two younger siblings were cared for by family friends in Alexandria.

Any help would be most welcome.
