Thompson or Thomson ties
Posted by: Donald Smith (ID *****1927) Date: July 09, 2012 at 10:58:16

I have an ancestor, Thompson Smith,(Scottish by DNA) in Oxford Township, Sussex County, NJ in 1773. Sons named Thompson as well, genealogist suggested maternal ties to Thompson/Thomson family. Oldest daughters named Martha, Mary and Leah. Does anyone have a Martha, Mary or Leah Thompson/Thomson with a Smith spouse in the mid 1770s(1730-1750)? Family ties may have married in Scotland, but other than birth of Martha in Pennsylvania and residence in NJ, no other information is known. Any help or hints appreciated.
