Grace, John d. April 10, 1835 Looking for any information or leads to research this ancestor of mine. I have a few tidbits of info to help. This is the John Grace that has a Monument honoring him at Union Cemetary in South Dennis, New Jersey and was hailed noteworthy as George Washington's trusted Scout whom British Gold could not buy. His Revolutionary service began on June 13, 1777 and ended June 5, 1783. He fought in the Battle of Monmouth and was on line at the siege of Yorktown. I have a few old newspaper articles containing service info. and census documnets listing him and what I "assume" are his sons with grand-children of both genders, but I have no names in which to research further lineage. I am told this is an ancestor of mine through the Fegenbush surname. If anyone has any information or good leads (I don't mind the research)I am sincerely grateful. Thanks!
