St. John's Churchyard was originally on the southeast corner of Market and New Warren (formerly Lamberton) Streets. When the church was razed in the early 1880's the remains in the cemetery were removed primarily to St. Francis Cemetery on Roebling Ave in Chambersburg, but some were possibly removed to St Mary's on Cedar Lane and St Jophn's on Lalor St in Hamilton Twp. This information is from "New Jersey Graveyard and Gravestone Inscriptions Locators Mercer County" by Edward Raser.

The Central Jersey Genealogy Club has recently transcribed the headstones at the St. John's Cemetery in Hamilton Twp.
