Any suggestions welcome in confirming/solving the puzzle of parents of Jacob Fuhrmann, born Dec 1854 in Bavaria (Germany. Immigrated in 1871 per 1900 census.
Marriage record in NJ Vital Stats shows Jacob Fuhrmann II, age 23, father, Jacob, mother, Elizabeth; married Louisa H. Pfiszinger 17 May 1876.
The 1860 Mercer Co., NJ census for the a Jacob and Elizabeth Fuhrman do not show a son, Jacob who would be 6 yrs old by then. This 2nd Jacob emmigrated ca 1850 and Elizabeth 3 yrs later. While Jacob Fuhrmann with a father and mother named Jacob and Elizabeth didn't immigrate until 1871.
