Hello,

Please allow to introduce myself to you ... I'm Peter Heckmanns, I'm 36 years old and I live in Kerkrade, that's a small town in the southern parts of the Netherlands ... you can situate my hometown roughly between two of the most feared battlefields of World War II ... The Bulge and the Hürtgenforest ...

Now the reason why I post this message ... In the American Military cemetery of the Netherlands there are buried 8.301 American soldiers from WWII. One of these men is ...

PVT Gilbert M Bush
Service# 32267952
313th Infantry Regiment, 79th Infantry Division
Hometown : Trenton
Mercer County, New Jersey

This soldier was the father on Angela Christian, she never knew anything about her dad because her mother never told about him, simply because he was killed. Angela lives in England and she was born when Gilbert was stationed in England. Angela is trying to retrieve any information she can. Gilbert M Bush divorced in the USA and went to England as a soldier.

My request to you is ... can you please help us to find a picture of Gilbert ... a picture from a yearbook (as far as we know he didn't went to high School as far as we know), a newspaper ... anything, you must understand that seeing her dad means more to her then anything else. Any information you can provide is of great importance and will be deeply appreciated.

My own interest in the matter is best explained by the following ... In the past year I adopted a number of graves at the American Military Cemeteries at Henri-Chapelle and the Netherlands (Margraten) ... and I created a website in honor of these men : www.in-honored-glory.info

I have no idea if anyone can or even wants to help, but I thank you in advance for every effort you make.

Best wishes,

Peter Heckmanns
The Netherlands
