Regarding the obit for Charles J Corbett, I had the date and publication but forgot to add it:

Regarding the John Corbett who died in 1912 at the Philadelphia Hospital, he is listed on the familysearch.org/ pilot site for Philadelphia death records. Since his mother’s name was listed as Jane McWilliams, it might be worth it to check it out further. I have seen women list themselves as widows when they were separated/divorced from their husbands. I found this most often when they were deserted by their spouse. It never hurts to check it out - you never know. I did not find an obit for this John Corbett.

CORBETT,- on the 27th inst., Jane, wife of James Corbett,aged 46 years.
The relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral, on Friday afternoon at 3 o’clock, from the residence of her husband, 1012 Wharton street. To proceed to Lafayette Cemetery for interment.
By the way, here is one John Corbett who is the right age who is living alone at the Philadelphia Almhouse and Hospital – out ward:
