New Jersey and the Civil War (BURLINGTON COUNTY)

Hey everybody, I am looking for some information that seems to be very very scarce. While I know there were no Civil War Battles fought in New Jersey, I am looking for ANY and ALL Civil War history for Southern New Jersey. I know that this area had a number of railroads that were in operation during the Civil War and suspect that these railroads not only carried troops but als carried good to the Union Army from the North and New York area. With as many men from New York who enlisted int he Civil War, they had to have traveled across New Jersey. I don't really understand why someone has not dedicated the time and resources to write a book about this as it has NEVER been done, why not capitialize off of a market that has NO compition. How about Harrisville during the Civil War, it was there and had a post office in 1862?? Did troops come up the Wading River to access the railroads in-land through Harrisville??? SOMEBODY HELP!!!! I know all of you Burlington County residents have to have some history!!!!
