Hi Deborah!
I don't have a great deal of info on Margaret Bishop. However, I did receive an email from someone researching the Bishop family and will try to forward to you the email attachment she sent me regarding the Bishops.I don't know how accurate it is, but she did cite some research sources for her information (i.e. census records, Bible and cemetery records).Margaret's maiden name, apparently, was Martin. Her first marriage was to Joseph Bishop and her second to Edward Nix.I have never forwarded an email attachment before, so if it doesn't work, I will type out the info for you.
Good luck on your research!
Suzanne
P.S. I do know that Margaret (Bishop) Nix was buried in the Nix family cemetery on the Nix farm in Newton Co., GA.A number of years ago the owner of the land, Jack Belcher, realized the cemetery was in danger from damage by farm machinery. He sought permission, and moved the gravestones to the Belcher family cemetery on a county road not far from Starrsville. There is a marker for Margaret Nix (1802-1882) in the Belcher cemetery.
